Grilled Corn on the Cob with Zesty Citrus & Herb Butter
Few things say summer like fresh corn on the grill. Wrapped in foil with seasoned butter, then finished directly over the flames, each ear becomes tender, smoky, and full of bright citrus and herb flavor. Our Zesty Citrus & Herb Blend makes this classic cookout side even more memorable with just a handful of simple ingredients.
Serves: 8–10
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 20–25 minutes
Ingredients
- 10 ears fresh corn
- ½ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons New Canaan Farms Zesty Citrus & Herb Blend
- 1 lime, cut into wedges (optional)
Serve With: Grilled chicken thighs, sausage, steak or anything else off the same grill.
Directions
- Prepare a grill for high-heat cooking. Tear a piece of aluminum foil large enough to wrap each ear of corn completely.
- In a bowl, combine the butter and Zesty Citrus & Herb Blend. Mix well and taste, adjusting the seasoning to your liking. Set aside.
- Shuck the corn, then rub the butter mixture thoroughly onto each cob, reserving about a quarter of it for basting. Wrap each buttered cob in foil.
- Place the wrapped cobs on the grill, or in the coals if the fire has settled, and cook for 12 to 15 minutes, turning occasionally, until steamed through.
- Unwrap the corn and place it directly on the grill grate. Baste with the remaining butter as it grills, turning until lightly charred and cooked through. Serve with lime wedges.
