OUR STORY

New Canaan Farms has been delighting tables since 1979 with small-batch jams, jellies, sauces, and salsas made from fresh, natural ingredients. In 2022, the Waters family proudly carried that legacy to Utopia, Texas, where we live, work, and create today.

As sixth-generation Texans with deep roots in the Hill Country, bringing New Canaan Farms to Utopia felt like coming home. Lou applies decades of experience building thriving businesses, and Lou’s wife Gerry ensures our brand story reaches friends near and far. Laurel brings her chef’s creativity from years of training and running her well-known destination restaurant, The Laurel Tree. Together, we’re continuing the tradition of New Canaan Farms with every jar we craft.

THE HEART OF NEW CANAAN FARMS

Meet the people who bring a taste of Utopia to your table.

From our kitchen crew to our fulfillment team, every jar we make is touched by hands that care deeply about quality. Led by our General Manager, Steve Innanen, and supported by our office team, we’re proud to be a close-knit family carrying on a Texas tradition.

A TASTE OF UTOPIA

Our kitchen is located in the historic water plant at 941 Main Street, where spring water was once bottled for Texans to enjoy. We are working hard to open up our company store to welcome browsers and shoppers and will update on our launch date soon.

We hope you’ll explore our small town, stop by our local partners, and get a little taste of Utopia for yourself.
