Brazos River Blackberry & White Chocolate Dessert Pizza
A little unexpected and a lot of fun, this dessert pizza turns our Brazos River Blackberry Jam into something worth gathering around. A soft, golden crust gets topped with sweet cream cheese, ribbons of blackberry jam, white chocolate, and a buttery streusel for a little crunch. It’s simple enough to make at home and special enough to bring out when friends are gathered around the table.
Serves: 5-6
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 13–14 minutes
Ingredients
For the Crust
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp. instant yeast
- ¼ tsp. salt
- ⅔ cup warm water
For the Topping
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ½ tsp. vanilla extract
- ¼ cup New Canaan Farms Brazos River Blackberry Jam
- ¼ cup white chocolate chips
For the Streusel
- 3 Tbsp. salted butter, melted
- ¼ tsp. vanilla extract
- ⅓ cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 Tbsp. light brown sugar, firmly packed
Serve With: Fresh berries and coffee, or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F and line a pizza pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, stir together the flour, yeast, and salt. Add the warm water and mix until a soft dough forms. Turn it onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
- Roll the dough into a 10–12 inch circle and transfer it to the prepared pizza pan. Gently fold over the edges to create a thin crust.
- In a bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy. Spread it evenly over the crust, leaving a small border around the edge.
- Spoon the Brazos River Blackberry Jam over the cream cheese. If the jam is a little thick, warm it for a few seconds to make it easier to spread. Use the tip of a knife or toothpick to gently swirl the jam through the cream cheese.
- Scatter the white chocolate chips over the top.
- For the streusel, stir the vanilla into the melted butter. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Pour in the butter mixture and toss with a fork until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the streusel over the pizza and bake for 13–14 minutes, until the crust is golden and the streusel is lightly browned.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm with fresh berries or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Other variations to try: Swap the white chocolate for dark chocolate chips or peanut butter chips, or try any New Canaan Farms Jams in place of the blackberry for a fruity twist.
