Pedernales Picante Sauce (Mild) – Smooth, zesty, and perfectly balanced, this mild salsa is packed with classic flavor without overwhelming heat. Ideal for everyday dipping, cream cheese topping, or mixing into eggs.

Habanero Salsa (Medium) – Things heat up with this vibrant blend of tomatoes, peppers, and habaneros, which bring a fiery heat but without the burn. It’s bold, spicy, and just right for those who like their salsa with a good kick.

Demon Salsa (Hot) – Our spiciest salsa features ghost chiles for a smoky, slow-building burn that spice lovers will crave. Handle with caution—and plenty of chips!

Beautifully boxed and ready to impress, our Raising the Heat Gift Box is the ultimate gift for chiliheads, spice adventurers, and anyone who believes hotter is better. Taste the flavor. Feel the fire.

Questions

How does the heat progress in the Raising The Heat box?
The trio is designed as a spicy journey: Pedernales Picante Sauce is the mild starting point, Habanero Salsa turns up the heat, and Demon Salsa is the choice for someone who wants the boldest experience.
How can I serve a spicy salsa tasting with Raising The Heat?
Put all three out side by side with tortilla chips and cooling accompaniments such as avocado, cheese or sour cream, then let guests work from the milder Picante Sauce toward Demon Salsa.
Who should I give Raising The Heat to?
It is made for salsa fans who actively enjoy chile heat and like comparing different levels and styles of spice, rather than someone who generally prefers mild foods.
How spicy are your salsas?
Most of our salsas are mild and full of flavor, and we mark them with a pepper ranking for guidance. Our mildest are Black Bean & Corn Salsa, Peach Salsa, Texas Tango Mango Salsa and Cilantro Salsa. Fire-Roasted Cantina Salsa and Verde Chile Salsa are just a hint more spicy, then it's up a little more with Pedernales Picante Sauce. Habanero Salsa dials up the spice quite a bit (but is delicious!) and our Demon Salsa, with ghost chile, is the spiciest of all. Our Hill Country Caviar and Blanco River Applekraut are not technically salsas, but they are in the same salsa-sized jar, and are wonderful and versatile meal accompaniments.
What are your bestselling salsas?
Our Pedernales Picante Sauce is our best-seller online. When we include the wonderful stores who sell our salsas, the most popular salsa is Fire-Roasted Cantina, followed by Black Bean & Corn, Peach Salsa, Verde Chile Salsa and Cilantro Salsa.
What's the difference between a fire-roasted salsa and a regular salsa?
Fire-roasting gives tomatoes and peppers a deeper, smokier character than a fresher-style salsa. New Canaan Farms Fire-Roasted Cantina Salsa is our most popular salsa partly because the flavor is so robust and rounded.
Is fruit salsa actually sweet, and what do you eat it with?
Our fruit salsas are sweeter than our regular salsas, combining chunks of ripe fruit with a spicy tomato and herb base. Both are really unusual and well-loved by those who try. Our Peach Salsa is a particular Texas favorite.
Which salsa should I buy for a party or game day?
For a crowd, a familiar, versatile salsa is usually the easiest starting point, while a second fruit-forward or hotter salsa gives guests a choice. New Canaan Farms offers everything from Fire-Roasted Cantina and Black Bean & Corn to Peach, Mango, Habanero, and Demon Salsa, so you can build a spread with contrasting flavors and heat levels.
What makes New Canaan Farms salsa different from a typical supermarket salsa?
Our salsas are handcrafted in small batches in Utopia, Texas, with a high concentration of vegetables, herbs and spices. We add no fillers, artificial flavors or preservatives.
How long does an unopened jar of salsa last?
New Canaan Farms jarred products are shelf-stable for up to two years unopened. Check the best-by information on the jar and store it in a cool, dry place until you are ready to open it.
Does salsa need to be refrigerated after opening?
Yes. Refrigerate New Canaan Farms salsa after opening and consume within two weeks for the best flavor.
Are New Canaan Farms salsas vegetarian or vegan?
All New Canaan Farms salsas are vegetarian and vegan. Check the individual product page for exact ingredient and nutrition details.
Are your salsas gluten-free?
