These drumsticks strike the perfect balance between bright citrus flavor and savory richness. Our Ginger Citrus Sauce brings together fresh ginger warmth and a lightly sweet finish that caramelizes beautifully as the chicken roasts. Ingredients

Serve With: Coleslaw, potato salad, grilled vegetables, corn on the cob, rice, or extra Ginger Citrus Sauce on the side.

Directions

  1. Place the chicken drumsticks in a large resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour in the Ginger Citrus Sauce, turning the chicken to coat evenly on all sides. Add additional sauce if needed to fully coat the drumsticks.
  2. Seal the bag and refrigerate for 2–3 hours or overnight for deeper flavor.
  3. When ready to cook, preheat the grill to medium heat, about 375–400°F. Lightly oil the grill grates to help prevent sticking.
  4. Remove the drumsticks from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off. Place the drumsticks on the grill over indirect heat and close the lid.
  5. Grill for 25–30 minutes, turning every 5–7 minutes to ensure even cooking and prevent burning. During the last few minutes of cooking, brush the drumsticks with additional Ginger Citrus Sauce for a glossy, caramelized finish.
  6. Cook until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F and the outside is lightly charred with golden edges.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve warm.

Storage Tip: Store leftover drumsticks in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a 350°F oven until warmed through.
