Rose Hibiscus Black Tea

Floral, lightly tart, and gently sweet, this Rose Hibiscus Tea is an elegant way to enjoy your favorite jellies. A spoonful of our Rosy Hibiscus Jelly melts seamlessly into warm black tea, adding depth, color, and a subtle floral finish. Perfect for slow mornings, afternoon breaks, or a simple treat any time of day.

Ingredients

  • 5 rounded teaspoons (or tea bags) good black tea (Assam, Darjeeling, Keemun, or English Breakfast)
  • New Canaan Farms Rose Hibiscus Jelly
  • Lemon wedges or thin slices, optional
  • Water

Serve With: Shortbread cookies, puff pastries, scones, or a quiet moment

Directions

  1. Bring a kettle of water to a boil. Warm a teapot by rinsing it with a little hot water.
  2. Add 1 quart boiling water and the tea to the teapot. Steep for 3–5 minutes, depending on desired strength.
  3. Strain the tea into preheated cups.
  4. Stir in Rose Hibiscus Jelly, about 1–2 tablespoons per cup, until dissolved. Garnish with a slice of lemon. Serve warm.
