Cook Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
· 1 cup butter, softened
· 1 cup powdered sugar
· 2 eggs, beaten
· 1 tsp vanilla extract
· 1½ cups plain flour
· 2 tsp baking powder
· 2 tbsp cornstarch
· 1 jar New Canaan Farms Strawberry Almond Jam
Serve With: Fresh strawberries and whipped cream
Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
2. Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
3. Add eggs and vanilla, along with a little flour to keep the mixture from curdling.
4. Mix in remaining flour, cornstarch, and baking powder until a dough forms. Add a bit more flour if the dough feels sticky.
5. Roll dough into balls and place on a baking sheet. Flatten slightly.
6. Press thumbs or fingers (joined at the bottom) into each ball to make a heart shape. Warm jam slightly in the microwave (about 10 seconds) to loosen, then spoon into the heart indentations.
7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until the cookies are lightly golden.
8. Cool, then pile on a plate and serve with fresh strawberries and whipped cream.
