This is the perfect holiday cocktail, it’s festive, colorful, and just the right mix of sweet, tart, and a little spicy. We like to dip the rims of the glasses in lime juice, then roll them in a mix of sugar and pink Himalayan salt for a pretty look and that sweet-salty kick. The Cranberry Pepper Jam blends beautifully with citrus and tequila, giving this margarita a flavor that’s as special as the season.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz orange juice (freshly squeezed if possible)
  • 2 oz lime juice
  • 4 oz white tequila
  • ¼ cup New Canaan Farms Cranberry Pepper Jam
  • Lime juice, sugar, and pink Himalayan salt (for rimming glasses)
  • Ice

Serve With: Holiday appetizers or chips and salsa

Directions

  1. Rim your glasses by dipping them in lime juice, then rolling in a mix of sugar and pink Himalayan salt.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine orange juice, lime juice, tequila, and Cranberry Pepper Jam.
  3. Secure the lid and shake well for about 30 seconds.
  4. Pour into ice-filled tumblers or martini glasses. (You can strain if you prefer a smoother drink, or leave it unstrained for a festive, pulpy look.)
