Easy Peasy Turkey Rice

Healthy, comforting and on the table in a flash, this uses basic pantry ingredients to deliver a simple but good family meal

Ingredients

1 red and 1 yellow pepper, diced
1lb of ground turkey or chicken
2 cups leftover rice – can also substitute
1 cup frozen or canned corn
1 cup New Canaan Farms Fire Roasted Cantina Salsa 
A small amount of water, as needed
Optional add-ins: canned black beans, spices, other frozen vegetables

Serve with

Steamed vegetables or a green salad

A large frying pan on a stove, filled with minced turkey, rice, chopped bell peppers and corn

Directions

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat then add the peppers and turkey or chicken, breaking down into small pieces and stirring so it browns evenly
  • After 5-7 minutes, add in the rice, corn and salsa
  • Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for around 5 more minutes until the turkey or chicken is completely cooked and the mixture is piping hot, adding a small amount of water if needed
  • Serve with fresh vegetables or salad

We do not accept returns of product we have shipped. However, we have a limited 15-day refund policy, which means you have 15 days after receiving your item to request a refund or exchange if the product we shipped to you is defective, damaged or not what was ordered. Please note that refund requests will need to include a description of the defective product with photos.

We will notify you once we’ve received your refund request and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please get in touch with us so that we can help you find out what’s going on

Shipping & Refunds

For orders over $60, we offer free ground shipping to a single delivery physical address in the contiguous United States (shipping to PO Boxes incurs a $5 surcharge). For all shipping, we use the best solution available for your address, and get your order out as fast as we can. We will never take longer than 3 business days to process your order and prepare it for shipment, and if you pay the premium for overnight shipment we strive (but do not guarantee) to prepare it and put it in the carrier’s hands within 24 hours. Very occasionally, we may experience delays due to supply chain constraints or other forces beyond our control. If we are not able to ship your order within five days of receipt, we will contact you to explain the timeline and offer you a refund if you prefer. Unfortunately, we are unable to hold individual orders for future ship dates.

We also provide the ability to break your order into multiple shipments and enter individual shipping addresses for those.  Please note that the free shipping offer applies to each individual address, so you would need to spend more than the minimum in each separate shipment to qualify for free shipping.
