- 1 packet New Canaan Farms Spinach Dip
- 1 cup mayonnaise or cream cheese
- 1 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- 1 can artichokes, chopped
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 unsliced loaf of wheat or rye bread
- 1 small plastic skeleton
SERVE WITH:
Crackers or chips
Directions
- Thoroughly drain the defrosted spinach, squeezing into a colander to drain the excess water
- Mix together the mayonnaise and sour cream (or alternatives), then stir in the New Canaan Farms Spectacular Spinach Dip
- Add in the artichokes, plus parmesan cheese (feel free to add more of the cheese if you like!)
- Stir well to combine and season to taste. Cover and chill until ready to serve
- Cut the top of the loaf of bread, leaving a solid ‘hinge’ (don’t cut all the way through!
- Use a knife to then cut a deep trough in the center of the loaf, until you have as deep a rectangular shape as possible, but leave a solid base and rim
- Scoop the dip into the coffin you have created
- Break off the limbs of your skeleton, then thoroughly wash and place them as you desire into the coffin. My skeleton was a little large for his home, but the effect was great!
- Use two wooden kabob skewers to prop open the lid of the coffin. You can also use breadsticks to create coffin handles, affixing with toothpicks
- Arrange with chips and crackers, and serve with your other spooky delights
