In 2022, the company was acquired by brother and sister team Lou and Laurel Waters, and moved to our hometown of beautiful Utopia Texas, in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. From here, we are committed to continue the New Canaan Farms legacy of bringing Utopia to your table.

Our family are sixth generation Texans with fifty years of roots in Utopia. For seventeen years, following extensive culinary training and employment in France, Laurel has devised and cooked innovative seasonably based menus at her sought-after guest-table restaurant The Laurel Tree. For the last four years, she has also welcomed visitors to her four French-inspired riverside getaways known as Treehouse Utopia. Lou has over thirty years experience in building and managing creative entrepreneurial companies, and is equally at home fixing machinery as running a thriving business.
Our Fabulous Utopia Team
Utopia is blessed with the purest water in Texas. The water supply comes directly from fresh, spring fed and limestone-filtered water that feeds into the beautiful Sabinal river. We’re thrilled that the New Canaan Farms HQ is housed inside an old water plant that for thirty years bottled this water to share with the rest of Texas, and that this magical water is an essential part of every jam, salsa and sauce that we make.
We cook every day at the water plant, right on the main street of Utopia. You can find our full product range, and a charming welcome just down the street from us at Main Street Utopia, 282 main street. This French country antique store is open from Tuesday – Saturday, from 10am – 4pm, so come visit and get a little taste of Utopia for yourselves!

We love visitors and Utopia TX is a great place to explore, relax and rejuvenate. We cook every day at the old Utopia Water plant, and our full product range of jams, salsas, sauces and gourmet spice mixes is available for browsing just down the street from there, at Main Street Utopia, 282 main street. This French country antique store is open from Tuesday – Saturday, from 10am – 4pm, and we’d love to give you a warm Utopia welcome there.
